Tons, and I mean tons of things bug me about modern day society! But I am serious when I say I think the mainstream media is the one thing that bugs me the absolute most! Why? Well, because it brainwashes teens, in particular, into thinking they have to like certain stuff. Still don't get what I mean? Let me help you out. Ever see someone wearing a shirt with a mustache on it? Or perhaps bacon? A unicorn? Now what these teens don't know is that they don't even like this junk! Even bands like The Beatles are pushed on the internet and websites like Facebook and Twitter. After seeing these pictures, these teenagers feel like they need to pretend to like these things to be socially accepted. If you really think about it, you realize how stupid it is. I mean, a mustache? really? That's like saying you love nostrils or curtains. People get so caught up in mainstream media, it becomes difficult to remain yourself. To be completely honest, even I get caught up in these things time to time. Movies like Star Wars or Star Trek are very much pushed on teens. If you genuinely like Star Wars or Star Trek, that's fine, that's a whole other thing. But, if you fake it or buy a poster just for the soul purpose of looking cool and liking what's popular, you should evaluate yourself. Okay! Okay! Don't be so hard on yourself! It isn't easy staying away from these fads, they're almost everywhere. But, before you claim you like something or how much you're a fan of something, just make sure that's really you.
