With Christmas just around the bend, Christmas music is being played everywhere! You can't avoid it. But what I've noticed for the past few years is that no new Christmas music is being written or played. It's always the same songs, year after year. Jingle Bells, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, the list goes on. But why not produce some new music with never before heard lyrics.
There's nothing wrong with playing a classic now and then. I get it! It can be nice to turn on the radio and hear a song that mom, dad, the kids, grandma and grandpa know all the words to. But we can create new classics! Wouldn't it be refreshing to turn on the radio and hear new holiday tunes?
